 The right side of the engine showing the exhaust manifold above the intake one. These are 2 pieces from the kit seen in an earlier page. The distributor is the original. The piece in front is styrene tube. The base unit for the fan has been thinned down and the original moulded on belt portion removed. Pieces of rod were used for new pulleys. On the far side the generator was used put projects forwards more. A new belt was made from paper. I had already fixed the large front grill in place. By having the cab removable it was easy to pop the motor unit in and out whilst I got the length of it whittled down to fit. Remember, the radiator is in there as well. The connection to the is styrene rod just bent by hand to the right shape.
The exhaust is made from styrene tube pieces reinforced with thick brass wire. |
