The axle journal assembly comes with a U piece that goes on the piece with the journal on. The prototype has a back U piece as well. This is quite noticeable in the photos. I made duplicates of the U pieces from thick styrene and glued them on with solvent. I then infilled the gaps as shown with stryene scrap and green putty. The small angle brackets on either side and their main bolt were made from styene. My Evergreen strip collection came in handy.
