 As a Diagnostic Radiologist I spent my working life essentially recognising normal and abnormal patterns in diagnostic images. This habit is ingrained! A distinctive feature of the real Winky are the nameplates on the sideframes. The cast lettering on the kit is too prominent and the "frame" was missing. The letters were filed down and the frame made with suitable styrene strip. This was fixed in place with solvent and trimmed. There are also 4 bolts at the front end of each side. These were added later from thin rod in drilled holes. |
